While there are a number of parks that you can easily get to from many of the four star hotels. Orlando was not originally known for its theme parks but for its swamps and wildlife. There are tours that you can go on to see these things even still. Some of them are more expensive than others, however some of them also give you a much better deal on the price verses the value that you are getting. One of these tours that is a little more expensive but has a lot more value is the Manatees Tour . At a price tag of one hundred twenty dollars per person you may need to save up some extra money for this vacation treat, but you will never forget experience gained from it.
The tour starts at eight thirty in the morning and the buses are there to pick everyone up between thirty and sixty minutes before the tour starts and you are bussed to an all you can eat breakfast to get your day started right. When everyone is done eating and ready to go you will take a cruise down the Crystal River hoping to catch a glace at the manatees. This cruise is fully narrated by a trained professional manatee expert. If the manatees are found, which is much more common in the Winter you will have a chance to go snorkeling with them under the guidance of the manatee experts who are there to keep you safe. Most of the manatees are really nice and you may even get a chance to touch the manatees if your guides say it is ok. Lunch is spent sitting outside enjoying a picnic and watching out for more manatees as they play in the water just a few feet away. Lunch is provided in the package deal. The afternoon is a visit to the Homosassa State Wildlife Park which rehabilitates injured animals. There will be an informative tour and a chance to see bears, panthers, alligators and more as well as being able to feed the manatees.
When all this is over, you will get dropped off at the stop of your choice and can eat at one of the best restaurants in Orlando.
