Paintball in Pattaya

There are some intriguing and captivating cultural attractions associated with Pattaya and many of them are unique to the city and region, though there are others that are somewhat more common and known around the world. Some of the festivals that take place here are special to the area, though the subject may be known or common. This leads us to acknowledging the cultural orientation to Pattaya as unique in its own right, yet also dynamic and progress and in sync with topics from around the world. The International Music Festival and the Pattaya International Paintball Championships are two examples of this great dynamic. And the many hotels in Pattaya are typically filled with eager participants and attendees for these and other great festivals and locally based events.

The International Music Festival is one of the most popular events of the year and occurs every March in Pattaya. This amazing and beautiful city is the perfect place to host such an event and people from around the world are eager to be a part of it, not only as musicians and performers but also as audience members. Various genres and styles of music are represented and musicians perform on various stages. This is a highlighted event and other popular street performers and night club venues are active during this time too.

The International Paintball Championship is also a popular event in Pattaya, which also occurs in March. The sport continues to grow in popularity and the amount of participants in Pattaya is increasing every year. The championship includes competitors from different diffusion categories, which demonstrates various levels of difficulty and challenges. Paintball first broke out into the popular mainstream arena in 1981 and has taken off in popularity and practice all over the world. It is considered to be one of the indoor extreme sports and participants endure a rigorous and challenging obstacle course as they compete in teams and individually. If you aren’t able to be in Pattaya during the championships, you can enjoy paintball at other times of the year.

Tennis and the Game of Palm

It’s always an interesting time of year, when the French Open is coming close, and that other tournament is not too far behind. Playing on clay, or playing on grass might sound like distinctions that are huge or minute, depending on one’s investment in the game. But anyone that’s ever taken tennis lessons long enough to get beyond the basics of a serve knows that the differences are substantial. Small details add up, and as preliminary thoughts about Wimbledon 2010 are underway, so are the various thoughts about the history of the game.

Apparently, the world is watching a variation of another game, one that has certain origins in the 12th century, where monks invented a court game called jeu de paume , or “game of the hand,” which was close to the contemporary version, only without racquets. For some, this makes all the difference, enough so that a switch from a wood to a graphite racquet is almost as controversial as Dylan going electric. But it points out the relative age of the game, where what we’re seeing is actually a little over a hundred years old.

History of any sport is often in the eyes of the fans, and the most fanatical ones are usually those who get to determine what people remember. With tennis, however, there is an elegance that is very old, and it has origins long before the monks. That might be immaterial, too, or it might make all the difference in the world. But tennis keeps evolving and developing with the skills and capabilities of the players. The details keep it interesting for the players, and the players keep it interesting for us. And the weight of the elegance of jeu de paume is such that the French Revolution was declared on a court, and its name is used today to evoke an artistry and aesthetic that reflects a classical past, and a radically exciting present, and those parts of the game have never changed and never will.

Miami days to the Monkeys and the Birds

Monkey curious? Well Miami Florida has a cure for those who love monkeys. They have the Monkey Jungle waiting to show you what is really going on with those crazy homo sapiens. Spend a day wondering around this tropical forest and seeing hundreds of different kinds of monkey’s. It all started when a man released some monkeys into Florida’s wild in 1933 not knowing what he was really going to create. The small Java troop of monkeys have bred themselves quite the community and now the humans are in the cages to catch of them playing in their home. There are more than 400 primates running free in this 30 acre reserve. The U.S. continues to protect their home and the public continues to visit.

Speaking of jungles! How about Parrot Jungle Island+http://jungleisland.com/? There are lots of colorful jungle birds living here as well as many other jungle animals. This could also be a great venue for seeing other birds like Penguins, Flamingos, Macaws and Cranes as well as other large jungle animals like Lions, Tigers, Orangutans and Kangaroos. Such a fantastic display with endless animal exhibits. It could take a number of visits to see everything they have living there. Catch a great animal show with the Winged Wonders and the Tiger Tales. Get extreme with the Alligator Show. The kids will have a fantastic time and I bet so will the parents.

There are many great hotels in Miami and they will all be able to help you find your way to some exhilarating adventures. Let the animals entertain you whether on land or sea. Let the beautiful landscapes and tropical environments soak up any stress you are carrying. And let the sunsets warm your heart and soften your soul. With all of the amazing life that is lived in the Miami area one is sure to have a thrilling and eventful vacation.

Sentosa Island Cinema and Sea

The night life on Sentosa Island is not to be missed. There are plenty of things to experience after seeing the sun set from Tiger Sky Tower or the Sentosa Luge Chair Lift . In fact, one can start with the night luge which offers up some amazing thrills as visitors speed down the fast luge track in a navigable cart. The chair lift operates around the Songs of the Sea Show which start at 7:40 and 8:40 each night. The Songs of the Sea is a spectacular light show filled with fireworks, lasers, fire bursts and water jets that is put on in an open aired gallery for about 2500 people. It is first come first serve so one may want to hit the line a little early to guarantee a seat. This is one great event that one will not see from their hotel on Sentosa Island .

There are some other really great entertainment opportunities found in some rather different cinema experiences. The Sentosa 4D Magix and the Cineblast ride. The Sentosa 4D Magix is a 4 dimensional theatre that opened in 2006. It has the latest technology in digital projection and sound system. Visitors get seated in a motion chair watching a 3D movie with other environmental effects added to the theatre which gives all the senses a thrill and leaves one feeling like they are in the movie. The CineBlast is simulation ride that currently takes visitors on a log ride. There are capsules seating six people that give the feeling of actually moving. Once again it has the latest in technology to pull off their effects and give their thrill seekers something to talk about. The kids will love it and so will the romantic couple looking for ways to cuddle up together and be entertained.

Manhattan’s Broadway Hit Shows

For most people it is a traveling dream to get to Manhattan and see one of the amazing Broadways Shows, hopefully, in a historical theater. For most travelers there is a choice to be made about what to see. Some of the tickets are really expensive and many of the shows are sold out way in advance so one must look ahead and make early plans. Sometimes the theater itself can be a big draw to a performance, however, if someone wants to see a certain show, they might not really care were it is showing.

Take the classic show Chicago which is at the Ambassador Theatre . The Ambassador Theatre was opened in 1921 with its first production of The Rose Girl. It became a movie theater for a while, then a television studio for NBC and now it is hosting one of the top selling shows, Chicago. That makes it a great theatre with amazing history.

Another famous theatre on Broadway is the George Gershwin Theatre . Named after the very famous Broadway show composer George Gershwin. It is sitting on the old site of the Capitol Theatre and it opened in 1972 with its first production musical Via Galactica which was sadly not a hit. The lobby is the home of the American Theatre Hall of Fame which makes the pre show and intermission a more interesting time. It has been the home of the Tony Awards in the past and it is now the home of the super hit show, Wicked.

While making plans for your visit one is sure to find many   boutique Manhattan hotels to choose from that are close to many of the shows on Broadway. Otherwise the city is rather small in actual land size so it shouldn’t be to much to get a taxi or take a subway train. If you plan to go in style there are plenty of limo’s to order from your concierge.
